With the Wisconsin Book Festival beginning this week, we have an essay from writer Anthony Bukoski. His short stories about immigrant life in the working class neighborhoods of Superior have earned him a national reputation. Today, he takes us to the hometown he can’t stop writing about.
Anthony Bukoski was born and raised in Superior, Wisconsin. He’s the author of several widely admired books of short stories – including North of the Port and Twelve Below Zero. He teaches at the UW-Superior.
