Every fall, the Oneida Nation harvests their traditional white corn during the Harvest and Husking Bee. Participants stomp down the empty stalks, husk the corn, and braid the cobs into ropes so the kernels can dry over the next three to four months. About 6 acres of corn will be harvested and prepared for drying — all by hand — for food, education, community, and tradition.
