With a game coming up this weekend, Packer fans are channeling their devotion in all kinds of ways. Comedian Tim Harmston once named his cat for his beloved Packers. It didn’t turn out so well.

Tim Harmston is a stand-up comedian based in Minneapolis but raised in Menominee, Wisconsin.

Friday nights in the fall mean high school football in towns across Wisconsin. Commentator John Hildebrand tells us what makes these games so endlessly appealing and timeless.

John Hildebrand teaches English at the UW-Eau Claire and is the author of three books, including A Northern Front.

Craft Beer:

With the Green Bay Packers playing in the Super Bowl this Sunday, people all over Wisconsin will be watching football. And where there’s football, there’s another fine Wisconsin tradition — beer.
